Portraits
I have always been interested in painting/drawing faces. The quest to show in paint or pencil someone’s personality never ceases to get old! Working with very tangible mediums to describe what is intangible is a challenge I continually seek. As an art student I was fascinated with Rembrandt’s portraits and how they showed such empathy for his sitters. He seemed to know their thoughts! It is a genre that still has so many possibilities for exploration.
